WB reinstallation problem.

Need some help here please I am getting tired of the Silver Window XP Gui ..

Helloooo All... As first posted on Wincustomize and as Night Train suggested to post it here..so maybe now I can get some assistant :)

Need some help on my windowblinds installation..

Okay here what happen...I just install a new ATI graphics card.. something went wrong somewhere when I installed the driver.. resulting that I need to "repair" my Window XP installation, the usual thing... put in the CD upon boot.. install windows XP and once it get to the question install new or repair previous install XP I choose Repair. Everything went good except my Windowblinds won't load. So okay...I do what I usually do... uninstall WB and use CCleaner and Comodo system cleaner to clean everything up and I even use regedit to search for any left over "Windowblinds". Turn off my Spybot Search and Distroy and ZoneAlarm, actually I uninstall the spybot and ZoneAlarm all together. Reboot. And Install Windowblinds... everything as normal ... Activated.. then It ask me to reboot... before applying any skin... so... reboot.... but nothing show up... it just like windowblinds never installed althought Windowblind show up at the add and remove programs windows... If I manually load WBconfig it will ask me to reboot or use additional process. If I choose any of the choice nothing happened even after reboot it still nothing... If I manually start WBload it make my XP gones to Classsic theme... hmm...

So what else I missed out... please.. I know I can possibly solve the problem with a Clean XP install but I try not to do that since I really hate to reinstall everyting all over again... so please can anybody suggest any other step I could try... BTW I still using 6.1.

Thanks all

I had a somewhat similar problem and tech support gave me a removal tool that completly removed WindowBlinds. Once I ran that and then reinstalled, WindowBlinds installed properly.

My problem was a continual "WindowBlinds needs to reboot message", even after I reboot.

Do the clean reinstall of XP. Basically you're just wasting time if the zapper didn't turn the trick. Sorry about that, mate.

Do the clean reinstall of XP.

That is what I would do as well but you might be lucky in uninstalling the ATI drivers via add/remove, reboot, let Windows install basic drivers, then reinstall the real drivers.
