Clipboard Sharing

Cut and paste

With Mulitiplicity, I have it configured (ticked, as in the default) that is, enabled clipboard - I assume this means i can cut and paste from one PC (monitor) to the other?  Can anyone help on this as my attempts have been to no avail. Which clipboard are they referring to - it certainly doesn't function with MS Word clipboard and the <Control> C and V don't function.

Are you copying files, or just text?  Clipboard for text works great.  For file clipboard sharing (which I turned off because most of the time I don't want to copy files that way) you just right-click on the target machine in a place that "Paste" is a valid command for that OLE type.  When you right-click w/ a file on your clipboard, a little "copying" progress dialog will appear (which is why I turned off the feature) and when it's complete, the Paste command will be active in your context menu.  Like I said, most of the time I am doing file copy clipboard operations are on the same system, and I don't like having to wait for the "Copy" dialog to finish.  When I have aborted the copy dialog, Multiplicity gets all kinds of messed up.

As for copying text in Word, etc., clipboard sharing works perfectly for me with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.

Haha, this is what you call a really delayed reply.  Sorry about that and thanks for your response.

Alas, i still can't use clipboard.  I am wondering whether it is that I have paid Multiplicity on one machine and not registered on the other.  When i use the other machine always says 'buy' or 'continue' and i opt for the latter and it always works but not clipboard.

WOndering whether to buy Pro as file and image sharing could be a bonus rather than fiddling sharing between machines.

Sorry for slow reply as i don't seem to get notified if a response?

Hi and thanks - ALL NOW WORKING.  Seems i had to have 'multiplicity' loaded on BOTH PCs, which was easily resolved.  Now 'cutting and pasting' text and pictures with ease.  WHY DIDN'T I WORK THIS OUT 12 MONTHS AGO ?
