Replays

When?

Obviously this is GPG's area, and it's very disappointing to see that it's been overlooked for 1.01. Surely it's a relatively basic fix and less time consuming than a lot of other things.

So is anyone willing to stick their head out and give an ETA on when replays are going to be officially integrated ito Demigod?

GPG is too busy making Supcom 2 to get back to doing things like finishing Demigod.

I've read a majority of Frogboy's forward looking journals and I don't recall any mention of implementation of a full Replay system.

Unfortunate, as a tournament focused game with no functional spectator replay system is absurd for a contemporary AAA title release.

I've seen it mentioned before. Both Frog and GPG say its very important to Frog. Whether they implement them before it no longer matters (because the game is dead), is another matter entirely.

It has better gameplay than most games. Better Graphics. GPG is a multi-million pound company (im pretty sure).

Its probably way down on the things to do list. Making the game more playable seem to be in the 1.01 patch. It would still take time to implement something like replays and who know how many people they have working on DG.

Lets hope it sooner than never.

It also has a pitiful 8 maps, no map making support, no mod making support, no replays, broken multiplayer, bad AI, a small community, no hype, no story, no cinematics worth a damn, etc. etc. etc. The release of a true AAA title is an event that whips the entire gaming community into a frenzy of excitement, and DG... did not do that. Unless you count all of the hate thrown towards the game at that time due to its worthless connectivity and the perception that SD was blaming pirates for it. That kind of frenzy doesn't count.

I like DG, but I'm not going to pretend that its bigger then it really is.
