Ai hacks! What? its true.

So due to my computer failing at multiplayer i have been stuck playing singleplayer which im fine with except for the ai being stupid often times. ive played quite a bit of matches and i haven't noticed any hacking or anything despite what people were saying on teh forums, so i thought they were just overrexaggerating. But after a game i had last night i must say i find this to be true. I was sedna and i was raping(not a big accomplishment since its ai of course) i was like 17-1 and my ally torchbearer was 8-3ish. I thought the game was goin to be over fairly soon at the 45 min mark since we were pushing hard and they kept dying, but after a trip back to the base when i come back oak and erberus are impossible to kill. I would unleash my yetis and minotaurs and use pounce and torchbearer would be casting frost nova and ice storm, but they would regen their health as quickly as we would damage it. honestly i used a pounce, hurt oak 1,000, and he regened it in less than a second, no joke. on top of this i noticed their movespeed was increadably high as well as their attack speed. it was unbelievable them getting 3-4 hits before i could get 1 in.

So now i believe what a lot of people have been saying about ai hacking, and i think it has something to do with them maybe not having any item slots so they can get maximum amount of items or something. I know on nightmare they get a ton of extra gold and im pretty sure they get more experience, which is fine with me because it makes for a challenge. but allowing them to hack too... thats just over the top (it makes it impossible). especially when your ai doesn't hack for some reason. I know this seems stupid, especially since i thought it was when i first read about it, but i hadn't noticed it either until it either until playing 20+ games with just ai. Since it starts becoming extremely noticeable if the game drags on for an hour and not noticeable at all if teh game ends after 40 minutes.

AI does cheat. Especially on Nightmare level. They start with something like 4x the gold you do.

I thnik they cheat levels too, I had an ally erebus level 7 and my status bar showed the vampire aura buff which isnt available till level 15 :/

That's not hacking, its just equipment. Regen-stacking is a well known strategy, and what with the AI's large amount of funds, its even easier for them.

That's how they make AI harder. They arent smarter, they just have more money, favor, and experience.

However, I've yet to be defeated by nightmare AI on anything less than 3v1, and I'm just an average player. I don't care how they make them tougher, because A: They're STILL pushovers, and B: I don't play AIs for fun.

Lastly, you're saying this because of 1 single game, and you're saying your AI did not do the same thing. Just think about that.

*edit Allies get a 10% vampiric aura for 15 seconds whenever an Erebus dies.  This is normal, too.

I've heard a few times about how badly the AI cheats but I've honestly never seen it (on anything less than nightmare, that is).  Yes, they use a 'lot' of potions and portal scrolls but in my experience, they have to because I'm destroying them with much better static equipment.  If the game goes too long, they become nearly invincible.  So do I, with enough spent on armor and regen/life steal buffs.  And then, of course, there are things like the death effects which I understand people don't commonly know about because they're never actually explained anywhere in the game.

From my experience, aside from the usual "I know what's happening anywhere on the map!" which seems to be standard in just about any AI, there's not much in the way of cheating going on at Hard or lower.

ok i get how they could get regen stack, or stack their damage with their items. but it wasn't just regen stacking. Their move speed was phenomenal along with their attack speed, and their damage, and their regen.

and yes i barely get beaten by ai as well, their not very smart.

And again yes ive only noticed this in 1 game. but that's because ive never let an ai game go on that long.

Wha!? All of those crazy death visual effects actually do something? I'm not even trolling.

Grr I hate the documentation with this game.

I just noticed that you said you were fighting Oak when this happened...

He wasn't using Last Stand, was he?  The AI almost always takes that and it would have the effect that you're describing.

AI's definatly get more money and exp, I controlled the exp flag on crucible the whole game till Level 6 and they were L8, I never left the battlefield when they were forced to run several times.

im fine with the more exp and gold that they get, it makes it seem like you got outleveled and harassed in your lane, even when you didn't so it helps you play like you were underlevel in a game.
