I have XP and am very happy with it!

But I see the latest GalCiv 2 games appear to require VISTA! :(

Is there any way that some one with XP (and very happy with it!) can play the latest GalCiv 2 games!

What was GalCiv 2 thinking of by making VISTA the only OS by which to play their latest games?

They all work fine on XP. I've no idea where you got the idea they require Vista, but you've been misinformed.

Perhaps the OP is referring to the latest updates, which are only available via Impulse, which apparently does not run on XP.

Impulse works fine on XPerimental.

Official requirements:

Doh. I brain-farted Win2k for WinXP on account of something similar I skimmed here recently.

cmcastl, someone here could probably help you if you are a bit more specific about what you mean by "...appear to require VISTA." Did you see some non-Stardock sysreq stuff that put you off even trying to install or have you actually had problems running an installed copy of GC2 on your XP box?

Definitely. Perhaps it's the IE7 requirement that he's choking on. Does Impulse support IE8 yet?
