Ship animations - spinning ships

Hi - I'm brand new to the game.  When I start to go through the race selection process, the ship animation in the lower right is going crazy.  The ships flicker and spin very fast.  The game appears to be working but the animation is clearly have some issues.

It is distracting so I'd like to figure out how to fix it.

Let me know what technical information is needed to troubleshoot.

This is almost certainly a video driver issue. Check your video card manufacturer's web site to download the newest updated driver.

Thanks for the reply.  I had a fairly new Nvidia driver installed but installing the latest and greatest seems to have fixed this.  I am glad it was something simple.
