A few gameplay ?'s

I have a few ?'s reguarding some aspects of the game:

1. What does the upgrade to the TEC insurgency do?  I think I found them over a planet once, but my own insurgency was hostile to me.

2. How do you make ships go through a phase stabilizer?  When I told my fleet to travel, they went to the planet 1 by 1.

3. Why, if the TEC is the econ. specialist, do they have to upgrade metal and crystal seperately unlike the Vasarri?

4. Why have siege frigates? They do less damage than caps. yet that is their only purpose.

1. It throughs random rebels at your enemies planets. These random rebels will attack any one.

2. Make sure both points have stabilizers.

3. They are econ or credit specialists, the Vasari are resource specialist.

4. Dont ask. The answer can be long and convolted

4) Bombing planets may be their only purpose, but it is a very dangerous and threatening purpose.  There's a reaosn why such fragile ships require 14 supply each.  Wiping out a player's planet (providing it's developed) is an epic loss in terms of both resources and time.  While capital ships can perform this role, they are limited in availability and may need to be elsewhere for fleet support.  Having a handful of siege frigates nearby to wreck enemy planets is a great asset.

Even though cap ships can bomb planets, siege frigates do a better job of it, work of just 5 frigates can do the work of 1 cap 3 times as fast

and once you start bombing your enemies will know so the faster you bomb the more damage you will do to population (and therefore effect on credits) or you could knock out their planet, which means they will have to recolonize and then re-research the upgrades to the planet
