Should I continue with Sins as is, or download Entrenchment, if I have only had Sins for a week?
As there is no plot/story...........
Any thoughts?

If you can afford it, buy Entrenchment. It adds loads of strategic options with mines, starbases and structure killers.
Get it! Once you've played a couple games you will wonder how you ever lived without it.
It's like sex right after sex.
If you only get two a day...maybe u wait until night time? Although sex is unlimited, Sins expansions aren't.
and then tap on some of that demigod love, just wait until they clear up the online a bit.
You better play online, we need you there. If people are assholes to you for bein new, dont let it discourage you, please.
Online play scares me at this point.
I'm not that great at Sins (but it's fun as hell...I sit here at work thinking of strats I want to try out when I get home and play in the evening) and I think I'd get slaughtered in Multiplayer.
I'm in the same boat as the OP...picked up vanilla Sins last week and have been playing almost daily. Will probably pick up Entrenchment in a week or so. Demigod I'll wait about a month or so for them to fix the online problems and whatever bugs are around, but I definitely have my eye on that one.
Best $10 I ever spent. Get it! It adds really cool backgrounds as well as the new units.
Entrenchment not only adds new units, but lots of actual performance boosts as well. I can't think of a reason to not buy entrenchment now instead of later.
The only way you will truely get better is going online and getting your backside handed to you a few times. Then you ask questions, watch the replays etc.... and see how you end up. Overtime you get better....
Well. I am sold. Will download a copy next week. I want to spend this weekend thrashing a few AI's a bit more. It has only been a week of playing after all.
I will get Entrenchment, give that a week, then try out online.
Only prob is how many other players are in my time zone, or close to it??
Will have to check.
I would say keep sins as to get more experience then get enrenchment, I do not have entrenchment, yet, but keep sins as is.
Definitely get Entrenchment. There is no reason not to play it, and $10 is a steal.
I don't play multiplayer because I like the pace of playing large maps against many AI opponents. In multiplayer, the goal seems to kill your opponent as quickly as possible, which is not why I play Sins.
I would probably only play Sins MP with friends in the same room, a la LAN party or something.
I'm guessing you are in Sydney and in my time zone... there's a handfull of people around. In the PM, you'll find some people on from Europe and some also in our time zone. Not as large as the US timezone but, as long as you are patient, you can always find a game (I've typically seen around 10 games in the early PM - maybe more if you are up late).
Get it mate - I was faced with the same predicament a few months ago and ended up buying it straight away (the forum convinced me). I definitely don't regret it. That said, if you feel a little overwhelmed by the new units, SBs, etc. that Entrenchment introduces you can always load up vanilla Sins.
For 10 bucks, it really is a no brainer.
I'm around that time zone as well...Japan Standard Time (so maybe an hour or so behind you). Good to know that there are some folks playing on this side of the world! ![]()
I agree with you 100%.
