Galaxy Forge Crashes from missing Assemblies

Downloaded Galaxy Forge to 2 Different PCs and receive th same error on both.

Event Log: Application

EventType clr20r3, P1 galaxyforge.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 49a891de, P4 galaxyforge, P5 1.0.0.0, P6 49a891de, P7 93, P8 b, P9 system.io.fileloadexception, P10 NIL.

Event Log: System

Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT could not be found and Last Error was The referenced assembly is not installed on your system

Event Log: System
Generate Activation Context failed for C:\Documents and Settings\media\Desktop\ForgeTools3\ForgeTools 3\GalaxyForge 3\Ironclad.Managed.dll. Reference error message: The operation completed successfully.

Have tried reparing .Net 2.0 / Installing .Net 2.0 SP1 /

Both PC's still report the same exact error

Any help??

i was hoping someone(From Stardock) would realize that the current posted version of Galaxy Forge is missng some dependencies with it's DLL.

Anyway I fixed it myself by downloading the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable and installing.

This is required because of it says: "Microsoft.VC90.CRT could not be found"

Obivously it needs version 9 which is VS2008

Version 8 was VS2005 which most people have by now.

Maybe this is stated somewhere but all I saw was requires .Net 2.0

Thanks for posting your fix for this.  I just got Sins a couple days ago and ran into the same frustration today, and was so glad to find this thread, it got forge working spiffy. :)

Ah good find. Our mistake (we didn't notice because we all have the crt's installed for development). When I update the tools for the new patches I'll be sure to include this.
