Origins of the Starbases(Sins style

 I got bored playing today and was playing around with various upgrades for my Advent starbases, and then I suddenly wondered what the origins of them were. Sins doesn't have an explanation for them, and heres a few reasons why it seems a little strange to me.

1. The TEC had not worked on military grade technology before their little war with the vassari, so I am wondering where their starbase idea came from. I am guesing that they came up with a strategy of placing gauss defence platforms and the fighter/bomber defences(forgot their name) close together to provide cover fire for each other, with the gauss defence platforms shooting out cruisers and cap ships, with fighter squadrons taking out frigates. Then some scientist or military leader probably looked at the configuration, and realized they could make a much better defence to just combine everything together, and thus the TEC starbase was born. They probably were the first ones to come up with the idea, as they had almost been completely fighting a defencive war

2. The Vassari starbase, I can make a pretty good guess at. I'm guessing they were starting to slow down on their assault on the TEC because the TEC was getting better ships, and then they ran ran into the hulking behemoths of the TEC, which would have slowed down or stopped their progress altogether.After trying to take the starbases down with few succeses, the TEc would have launched attacks at the Vassari, and most likely succeeded in a few campaigns, and the vassari would have gotten alarmed that they were loosing groud thinks to the fact that the TEC starbases were stablizing the fluctuations of Vassari attacking and gaining ground in one area and them loosing ground in another. So after a little while, I'd guess they dug up some old designs the dark fleet had made, and then made a few modifiactions to them so that they could suit their own purposes better, and there you have the vassari starbase

3.And I think the Advent would be the most original ones when it came to making starbases, since so much of their technology was devoted to attacking, even more so than the other races, so they probably had to start from scratch. After being held up by the TEC starbases, they probably only took the most basic concept of the TEC starbase, it's size, and started building them. I'm guessing they would have been through a lot of trile and error, trying so many different types and styles of making them and arming them. until they came across a type that fit what they wanted. They took the own unique characteristics and added them to it, which I conside the Advent the most unique race on the game.

One more thing. I havent really played with any of the other starbases except the advent, but the Advent named theirs starbases "Trancendia class starbase" or something like that. Notice the word 'class' which means that there were other types of starbases and supports my theory which goes for all the races

  This is just how I think the starbases would have been developed and brought into prodction. Please comment and tell me what you think. I don't know and I'm not sure if I will do it, but I might make a post of the 3 races first encounters with each others starbases. Thsi will not be a full blown story like witchfires, but I will just post their brief encounters. Maybe...
