So when you join a lobby you get assigned a Colour, are they only displayed on the score board? Shouldnt it be displayed on the minimap which hero is what colour? Otherwise I fail to see the point of it.

Yeah if you plan on remembering who is what color? But I guess it would be useful to some. And you should be able to chose your color.  Color-chosing has been around like 20 years (even though I haven't been around 20 yrs haha)

It affects the color of your character and minions. I agree you should be able to choose it Its annoying that you cant.

As long as you can choose.  For me I'd rather the way it is and just see my team Vs enemy.

Then again, I'm also color blind a bit so that small of icons and subtle colors will be lost on me anyway.

I cant tell subtle colors apart either. Oh well. PS to the poster, its spelled color here in the US.

Stupid genetics....like 1 in 8 men are color blind (at least a little)...

And the only way to change color is to change spots by clicking Occupy when in game lobby.

Is it the case with Favorite (US) and then Favourite (World)?

Or Armor(US) or Armour(World)...is that true too? lol
