[Help Required] Understanding Favor Points

Acording to the games's manual:

  3. After each battle, the gods will award the Demigods with favor points. Favor points help your Demigod to ascend to Godhood and act as a currency to acquire persistent items.

  7. Players win favor points for the following actions:
  9. •  Dying the least number of times
  11. •  Spending the most gold on Citadel upgrades
  13. •  Killing the most enemy Demigods
  15. •  Killing the most enemy units
  17. •  Doing the most total damage
  19. •  Capturing the most fags
  21. •  Assisting the most in killing other Demigods

 

(All the remaining text is on the online subsection of the game)

I see the favor I get after each battle, usually averaging 100. However I still am having questions regarding these subjects:

If I go to the achievements menu, I see a value for each achievement. Are these values favor points?

The reason I am asking this is because at the top of his menu is a number that usually (see below) was the sum of all the achievements I had made (but didn't consider the points I had already acquired during online play).

As of now my favor points are negative. I did unlock a favor item. Does using it waste favor points each time I use it?

 

TL;DR?

Are the points acquired through achievements (on online) the same we get at the end of each match?

Do favor points get used each time you use a favor item (after being unlocked)?

Achievemets add to your favor points, yes.

Negative favor points is a bug that I believe is Pantheon-specific. Once you buy an item you can pick it whenever without deducting favor points.

I do hope the Pantheon negative favor points bug gets worked out.  Pantheon is one of the places where accurate favor points are most critical.
