Assign hotkeys

I have just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to assign hotkeys. I want to try out torchbearer and can't get his fireball on a hotkey.  Kind of frustrating considering this kind of thing should be pretty standard and intuitive.

 

Any help anyone?

Wouldn't fireball just be skill 2? The one thing i'm annoyed with is the game doesn't recognize my mouses extra button. (It's a logitech wirelss laser mouse.) As being able to set select hero and select minions with two buttons on my mouse would be handy.
