I'd rather they get the base game functional before trying to add things, this is hellgate all over again...

That would be a good demigod, However I think they would have to give him some other attribute than fire breathing, as we already have a fire guy. More diversity the better. I think it might be cool if we have someone who, rather than being magical or something, is just really skilled with a blade. There was a good idea for a blademaster class in another thread somewhere, and it was a great idea. For the new general, I think maybe some kind of machinist that can summon clockwork minions or something could be cool.

That's an attempt at hyperbole, right?

No it would be the same exact situation. Game shipped out, game didn't work as advertised but would have been fun, content is added without fixing game breaking issues, game disappears off the radars.

One big thing that killed Hellgate is that the game had 6 effective methods of segregating the population. They had three different difficulty modes, and on top of that, they had subscribers vs non-subscribers.

This is NOT Hellgate london. Besides, nearly all games these days ship with day 0 bugs, and day 0, week 2 patches, etc. so no need to single this game out. This is far from the only game that has experienced multiplayer connection issues.

Yeah, comparing this to Hellgate is over the top. The only real outstanding issue is networking, and that's hardly gameplay based.

Now going back on topic, I'd like to see a map control defensive hero. Something that can summon towers, or create patches that are dangerous to cross.

Even though we already have a "frost" ability using Demigod, another might be nice. I was thinking something like a frost elemental, he could drop ice shards that slowly freeze the area around them. The frozen areas would buff allies and debuff enemies, maybe allow him access to unique abilities or change his current ones while he's in the frozen spots. Upon the shards being destroyed, the frozen areas would slowly melt. These would give him map control, slowing people who cross through particular areas and even making ice walls to slow down advances until they are destroyed.

He could be a General and his unique minion the shards even, despite them not moving.

yea i wonder what problems we could find if we could get to the gameplay

A lot of us already have. There aren't any outstanding ones, only slight improvements that could be made. The basics being more. More levels, more demigods, more items. These aren't issues though. The game is very well designed, just wish joining internet games would be a bit more smooth. Give them a week or two though, and it'll be fine.

I really like this idea. It doesnt necessarily have to be ice, it could just be a totem thing of some sort that spreads an aura of darkness/light around, Which would be exactly the same effectwise but look different than the ice we already have ha. Still a veryy good idea shaman.
