Demigod Serial Number error

I just bought the Collectors Edition of Demigod today new from my local Gamestop. When I went to install it everything was fine. It ran perfectly. When I went to register it however, I got an error that says Product Registration Failed: The email address or serial number you have entered is invalid.

I am still getting this error and I was wondering if anyone else had gotten it and if they had figured out what to do about it. Any help would be amazing.

I second that, I'm having the same problem.  However mine is with the standard edition retail box copy.  The error message is:

"Product Registration Failed: the email address or serial number you entered is invalid.  Check to make sure that you have entered the correct information.  (ref: 204)"

I entered the serial number in as lower case and when that failed, I tried it in upper case which didn't work either.

Same issue as well.  Standard edition purchased at Best Buy.  Hope there is some kind of recourse to this.

Same issue here. I am steadily getting tired of more and more games having all this extra crap attached to playing the game like signing up online and then having to get connected to a server just to play or download an update. Seriously it may not seem like a big deal today, but what is it gonna be like in a few more years. How many Stardock / Steam/ Windows Live Acounts are we going to need just to play some games?

Oh well....let the buyer beware I suppose.

If you send an e-mail to the support@stardock.com with your key and user information, I sent one and they are in the process of fixing it so I can register my game.

The same is happening to me, I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon, arrived today..but the freaking thing won't accept the SN: i tried with and without the dashes, both upper case and lower case no go.

Has anyone heard from StarDock on this issue?

My friend and I bought this game yesterday.  Been lookin forward to this game for a while.  We brought it home and and installed it right away and low and behold we couldnt play it because we couldnt update it.  Because Stardock wouldn't accept our serials.  Theres no feature to play through LAN.  I have to play through the internet which is such a huge inconvience.  It seems like these companies in the effort to protect themselves are moving to more and more drastic measures in the attempt to save money.  But the people that are suffering most are the ones who legitamatley buy it out there.  People are still hacking the games out there.  They get around this crazy DRM bull and I as a consumer am still left carrying the baggage and still trying to play my damn game with my friend. 

Sorry for the rant.   Anyways still waiting for word back from Stardock on this serial issue.  But I have gotten like 4 emails stating that Stardock techsupport just got back from a long weekend.  Well heres to hoping it gets fixed today.

Unfortunatly that is coming up with the same error as well.  I almost 99% positive that its on Stardock's end.  Especially when I'm not the only one having the same problem:P

You can add me to the list as well.  Just purchased the Collectors Edition and says I can't update as the SN or/and email is not Valid!

As much as I understand more and more companies trying to copy protect their products against software pirates, it is becoming more and more frustrating for honest buyers/players as we go trhough loads of crap to tell them "I have a legit copy) only to have a complete fail at the Publishers end.  By now I am sure the Pirates are enjoying their illegal copy while us legal owners can't even play a game we paid for?  Maks no sense and Companies should be on the ball and much fater to repair problems at their end becuase that will turn us away from actually buying games when we get no service.  Sorry for the Rant but it is frustrating when I pay good money for something and get no service in return!!

Yeah, same problem here. Kind of wish StarDock had at least a voice line for these issues as e-mail and forums are so slow. Kind of bummed that I purchased my copy just a few hours ago and now cannot play online because I cannot register with Impulse to get the updates...

I guess it's good to see that i'm not the only one experiencing this issue.  Hopefully the more people having this problem the sooner they'll fix it for us.  I did everything i was supposed to do, but they bloody program keeps telling me the serial is invalid :/

 

I put in a ticket, hopefully that'll work it out.

 

Thanks again to GPG and stardock for making an awesome game!  Just the single player is a blast! :D

Registration Failure Victim #3,298,001 here, reporting for duty! Though if the single player game is any accurate judge of my ability, I'm not sure why I'm in such a hurry to have real players kick my butt... still fun tho. Go go Unclean Beast!

This is ridiculous! Today is 11.10.09 - this means it's about 6 months after the realise and I still have the same problem! I'm feeling like I lost not small money on that game!

Have you contacted support?  If not, please drop an email to support@stardock.com for further help.  If you have already, please provide your support ticket id, and I can look into the issue for you.

How long we have to wait to get a reply of the support? Man we bought this shit and it's not working!!! I want to play it now and not in 3 months!!! So do something or give me my money back!!! for a product which is not working online!
