impulse help please

ok, so ive downloaded impulse into my computer. but im not sure if ive really installed it yet, so i go into my downloads area, and click on the impulse icon, i get the install shield and that goes through but then the impulse install pops up and immediatly goes away, theres no errors or anything, it jsut wont do anything. is this because i have nothing to install? i havent preordered demigod. when i do will something pop up?

If the impulse installer is crashing, try redownloading it. Failing that, please contact support@stardock.com.

well it downloads fine, no errors even pop up, then the install shield pops up and goes through, then another one pops up with a big impulse box, it starts, then just kinda dissapears. what wrong no errors occur or anything
