So Gamestop released early...

Did anyone else?

I picked up my pre-order from a Gamestop when I called and asked if it was in.  I then promptly visited the nearby Best Buy and noticed they too had Demigod on their shelves.  So if one store screws up it gives everyone else the right to put it up on their shelves if they already have it too??

Fun game!  Can't wait ta play wit some people online.  I might even get a lil more serious with this game than I normally do other online games.

Days before this Gamestop debecable happened, I had a Gamestop person print me out a list of all the games coming out for a few different platforms, including PC.  The first time I did this, which was last month, it said this game was coming out on the 14th, as it was supposed to.  On the first of this month I asked for another list, and told em to put em in release date order instead of alphabetical.  This time it said Demigod was coming out on the 9th.  I found that odd but didn't know any better so I assumed that was how it was supposed to be.

End of quote

It doesnt' give them the right, but stores near a gamestop may have done it anyway just to try and avoid losing out all the initial sales. I haven't heard any consistent reports of other chains selling it at all locations as GS has, though.

Sadly I didn't have the time (it was already dark!), money or patience to drive to the "nearest" Best Buy other than the one I visited.  I just thought I'd say something about it.  If more than one retail store is doing this then there's something really wrong, that or just a bunch of big wigs being tards ;p.

Off topic - Since I got a retail ver and already have my CD-key, can I play online wit the other peoples today or do I still have ta wait till tomorrow?  Just wonderin.  If my friend ever gets his FF11 updated I'll actually be playing that today so...yea ;p.  Thanks for answerin!!!!

If you bought a retail copy you should be able to register and play immediately.

well, it's not new, but in the end gamestores will be the loosers, when near all games will be digital download only... A sad thing because I miss the time of old PC box before the standard DVD format, when you got big box with nice illustrations and big manuals (with maps for RPG). Now you just pay for a CDkey. :'(
