You're seriously canceling over the fact that the game was leaked a mere 3 days early?

They lied to all those who preordered! You must feel so betrayed !!! }:)

We didn't lie to anyone.

All sellers of a given game agree on a set time to begin selling in order it to be fair.  It appears that Gamestop broke this agreement.

We plan to charge pre-orders on Monday and let people begin playing then.

It should also be noted that not all server resources are available yet. I don't know precisely what game experience someone who buys it today will have to be honest as the system isn't up yet and no one is available until Monday (Easter weekend).

I rather stay with the official release date and let gamestop deal with the mess they've made. B)

Anyone even know what infrastructure is being used? If it's p2p, won't be too bad.

Our large releases are distributed via CacheFly. You should get a good speed.

The download server setup is not peer to peer but it is very fast.  Even on release days it is 4x faster than steam for me.  My steam normall maxes out at 300kb/s.  Impulse holds a steady 1.2mb/s the whole download.  It is really very nice.  I have heard some people get it faster than that.

Good to know, thank you for the information. So it should only take a couple of hours at those speeds. I'm very impressed and very happy, looking forward to Monday\Tuesday even more now.

I think it tends to take about 35 minutes for the download, 5 minutes for decompression of files, and then another 5 to install.

Why would you do that? Man, if you are living in a civilized world, you know that products need to make money, and during these tough times good game developers are rare. SD and GPG need to be supported, buy directly from them!

I want to askif I order this game (download version),how long will it take to finish download? how large is the files? My download speed max is only 50kbps , can I keep resume the download (from where I stop at previos times) from day to day? (I can't open 24 hours to keep download).

Another question is I live at South East Asia country, normally when I connect online game to US/Europe server, my ping is about 300++, I know demigod is peer to peer (but mostly the player will be europe and US) so will it very hard for me to play this game due to high ping?

Anyone know what time on monday we can start dling, i thought i saw at 0001 we could is that correct?

gerbercage the file will download pretty much as fast as your connection will allow and Impulse does support resuming of downloads. But at 50kbps it will, of course, take you quite a few hours to download it as it's more than 2GB to download.

Pings will be dependent on who you're playing with. If you're playing with other people in your "South East Asia" country the ping would be fine. If you're playing with people in the US, your ping probably won't be great. But I expect you're used to that. :)

Just encourage all your friends to buy it, too! :D

To clarify, you probably saw my question where I asked if that was the time we could start, and the answer I got is that the time you can start getting it is as early as they run the charges during their business hours. So, I'd expect late morning, give or take.

Look I saw it at gamespot, figured itd be better to get it now instead of in 4 days (I've really been like dying for this game) So I went ahead and bought it at gamestop. Theres no point in me buying 2 copies so I'd be happy if the pre-order could be cancelled. I posted here hoping a member of stardock would see it and do something about it.

Stardock is closed for the holiday.  It is likely you will be charged and have to have a refund precessed.

Speaking of which, could you not have a pre-ordered section housed within "My Games" displaying the price/release date (countdown perhaps), which could then be automated to allow people to cancel their orders without emailing? Would be much more efficient from a workhours perspective.

2GB size? Normally when I download 100Mb file, it take about 1 hours, so this 2000MB will need to download about 20 hours.  I will had ask my friend to buy it but they also say that need to see whether got a lot of players in Asia or not, if too few players, it is hard for us to find a good connection game (plus also lack of player available on our timezone).
