Uninstalling

A few nights ago, I installed IconPackager to use an icon that I had downloaded for a system folder.

Now, I already have customised my icons by hand, manually, using regedit, for all my personal folders, normal folders, removed shortcut overlays, and so on.

After using IconPackager, I decided I didn't want the icon, so I decided to uninstall it.

Now, EVERYTHING has been reset to the default, the changes that I had made to my system manually are gone.

I don't feel like making all these changes again, nor am I paying for IconPackager to redo what it has undone.

Is there a way to reverse this change?

There is not.

Layering customizations is a bad idea as you don't knwo what will have precedent on any kind of change.

It's not a "bad idea" at all, it's poor design on the part of IconPackager to not record the configuration at install time and revert to that config upon uninstallation.

O well, nevermind.

Did you try system restore?
