Weather Widget Zipcodes

Hey folks,

Now that accuweather.com seems to have removed the zipcodes from every URL for locations outside the US does anyone know a way to find the zipcode for ones area? It seems that a large number of weather widgets only work with the zip code and do not work with the city, country info thus I need my zipcode to get them to work. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Raven

i occasionally run into this problem, I live in bendigo australia and every so often my weather widget will report that the location is invalid so this is what i do, i click the place name to change the location and enter a random 5 digit number. usually i use 31212 which is manton (usa but dunno the state), then i change the location back to bendigo australia. sometimes it takes a few trys but eventually it works. So give it a go and it might work for you. :)

Gave it a shot but unfortunately to no avail. Thanks anyway Nimbin.

I live in Adelaide. So even if someone around here knows the zipcode it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried this widget by Julynessi: LINK

If you type in your location it will give you your location ID. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I thought I'd toss it out there. :)

I'm guessing one of the Stardock produced ones.  We use accuweather.

This is probably not what you're looking for, but when I download a new rainmeter and need to change the code I go to ASP.NET Resources at http://aspnetresources.com/tools/locid.aspx. Worth checking it out.

Using the weather docklet (accuweather) included with ObjectDock I entered "Adelaide" (without quotes) and got three results for Australia (city, airport, etc).  I jsut picked one and it worked.

Teseted with a MyColors gadget and it worked the same way.

I'm using the object dock weather thing...thought that it essentially counted as a widget since it works in the same way (probably should've mentioned that either way  :P ). I tried "Adelaide" and I got "Feed not available try again later" which is what I get when trying Adelaide, Australia as well. So not sure what the issue is. :annoyed:

Are you using the free version?

The free version has a few  . . problems with the weather code.

You can upgrade, find a spot close enough that works, or do without  . .  until it's updated.
