Direct 3D problem.

I have a problem where after installing Demigod on my Desktop it will attempt to launch and then crashes. It says that Direct 3D is not present. My video drives are current is this a common problem/bug? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I also have another question. If I no longer have confirmation the Demigod pre order would I run into trouble when the game releases? I have it on my Impulse and obviously I can always get the charge from my bank to prove that I did. In interest to eliminate the hassle for all parties involved if it is a problem what should I do to correct it now?

What video card do you have?  Post your dxdiag information.   I got that error because my video card was too old.

I have two 9800 GTs 512 mb each running in sli. Here is the log. It has (n/a) next to Direct 3D. Would that mean I can download what is missing easily?

You're video drivers could use an update: 9/17/2008 is rather old for drivers

I updated the drivers and it is still giving me this problem. I checked Direct3D acceleration in DxDiag and it is enabled there.

What happen if you disable 1 of you're video cards?

I had it disabled in the first place. I get in some trouble with older games I play. I enabled it and it didn't work either. Would nHancer mess around with Direct 3D settings?

Do you have a screenshow of the message

@ Silverhandorder

While I can't point you to a solution for your problem I am posting here to let you know I can confirm having had the exact issue you're describing, albeit only ONE time (a couple of days ago).  All I did was start Demigod again and it worked properly again.

At this point all I can offer up are my system specs so the DEVS know it's not limited to certain hardware...

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500

4GB RAM

1GB EAH4870 Radeon

XP Pro x64

...and suggest that maybe you should try verifying the integrity of the install files for Demigod through Impulse?

thanks,

the Monk
