3 Kols would kill 200 bommer easy

Hi last night i was plaing a game that lasted me about 5 hours do to carris spamers i have a guy who made 100 carreirs in the game who had nothing but bommers in them but ended up wasting all of them and giving 3 level 8 kols doing so i had my 3 kol to level 3 with flank brust at level 2 i just waited fro all of them to be in postion and boom i see 200 bommers along with a coup of 50 fihters go up in smoke and had 1 kol amost killed but was save by me 100 hoshis and 80 command crusirs :grin:

Kol absolutely annihilates strike craft, although your opponent was foolish to build so many bombers to begin with.

Against a Kol, you absolutely must keep your strike craft spread out so that they cannot blast them all in a single volley of their flak barrage.  If you can't do this, you shouldn't be using a primarily strike-craft based army against Kols.

Great ability, definitely one of the game's strongest.

hack not realy SC are weak u just have to find there weak spot and that guy did make one huge mistake having all his bommer alcose together made it a death wish for those poilit in the SC

King, what race were they?  By the way, an end game fleet with 200 bombers absolutely rocks if you select your targets carefully.

they were advent mostly what i saw thought tho only reson i think my kol stayd up in the air was because i have armor ahd health at maxs

I won't argue that it's dangerous, but there's no question that multiple high level Kols are one of the best responses you can make to such a fleet.  Between their adaptive shields and flak burst, you can both survive and kill those viciously powerful bombers.

crappy target choices. 200 advent bomber squads should've nailed that ship on the first pass. i'm guessing he didn't target the frontmost?

look guys if u dont belive tyr fro youyr selfs tho u will need that guy mark or who ever is name was to play like that again and 1 kol all most did die it was at 249 hp after the frist pass

If the player was Vasari, you would have been doomed.  Advent SC are worthless against flak burst/telepush.

TEC bombers are pretty tough too, particularly since TEC has alot of armor upgrades available. Advent squadrons are made of tissue paper because they have no shields, which are the main form of defense used by Advent. you don't even have the option to research armor for them until end game and the advent hull upgrades are meh.

 

and just because i'm a bit confused. are we really talking about 200 bomber SQUADRONS? cuz that would be 100 carriers (68 advent carriers), which is like a ludicrously huge fleet. 1400 fleet supply. damn man, big fleet. i can't remember the last time i was working with numbers like that. even on huge maps its usually over well before that stage.

Are we talking 200 bombers or 200 squads. If 200 squads I would say not, since one volley would kill a kol.

Vasari bombers = flying tanks.

 

you need 2 lvl 3 flaks to dent them, 3rd to kill if the armor/health is fully upgradet.
