Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?
banned for thinking there was any dissertation. I didn't leave a single one behind.

Banned for the Mosin-Nagant is awesome. The M1 is more fun in some ways. The Finnish fires far more accurately. I train with iron sights, but I'm not against getting a scope for the Russian. I know where to get one with the old scope already attached, but not sure if I'll ever bother.

The Mosin-Nagant does get more range, but few can shoot with enough accuracy to make it matter. The Garand and Mosin-Nagant both do quite well at 1000 yards and going beyond that is rare. I simply choose the M1 Garand over the Mosin-Nagant because there's less fatigue in the operation, the gas system absorbs more kick, and the weight and shape of the weapon feels more natural to me. Plus, you get that happy, metallic sound at the end rewarding you for all your good work!
Banned because my friend's mother is an admissions person at MIT, and over the summer I went to a computer camp that she visited, and I think I impressed her with my knowledge of AI programming techniques.
