Icon won't stay & desktop disappears

Hi - two questions

1) When the screensaver kicks in and Imove the mouse to release it, I see all the OD Docks but my wallpaper and any windows are gone; just a black screen.  I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL.  When I do that, the windows and desktop come back BEFORE the taskmanager/logoff page even appears.  So I just cancel out of that and all is well.  Running Vista32.  Any ideas on that one?

2) Two of my taskbar icons revert back to the originals.  If I change them, they are good until a reboot.  One is Network Connection and the other is Registry Mechanic.
