What is going on tonight...keeps dumping ALL players. Please advise.
okay three times now...just when a game gets going... BOOM. Drops everyone. PLEASE EXPLAIN. I love this game, but the online portion is dying fast.
It almost feels like they're getting a DDoS attack. I was in a nice 4v4 game and within 10 minutes everyone lagged out.
Love the game. Just wish we didn't have these kinds of problems. I'm glad that people are playing Unreal Tournament III regular weapons capture-the-flag again. Guess that's what I'm gonna go play. That or UT 2004 Onslaught.
It is horrible....barely start a game...then the whole thing freezes up. Chat room is constantly frozen. Would love a comment from a mod, or someone who has a clue.
First, you fragment the online community with two versions of the game which you have to log out and join seperate versions ( vanilla vs entrnech).
Then it is super buggy during primetime.
Begining to wonder if ICO is the redheaded stepchild of Ironclad.
Well, if it's a DDoS attack it's not really their fault. But if so, I hope they pursue the perpetator and sue him for monetary damages and press criminal charges.
6TH TIME. this is kinda fun...see how long i can play before the whole server crashes. To think i am actually paying for this experience loses a bit of appeal. but hey, it beats going to the bar i suppose.
This is pathetic particularly given how few players there are for this game. Unless it's *peak* hours it can be very difficult to find a game. With the ICO server crashing and ruining everyone's game this will be the last nail in the coffin for a game that already seems to have a pitiful online showing

What's sad is that we all paid $10 extra for Entrenchment and now we can't play it tonight. The server is having difficulty hosting games, you can't see normal Sins games from within Entrenchment and you can't join them seamlessly from within Entrenchment. Consequently, the number of people who are interested in playing Sins in online multiplayer is going to begin to drop off rapidly.
I won't be surprised if few people play it online in six months or a year and if Ironclad and Stardock never again release a game with an online multiplayer component--it's just not profitable to spend 33% of your development effort for online play when 1% of the people will play it online and when it's such a big headache.
I love the game and I like Stardock and Ironclad; I just wish we had fewer problems with online multiplayer.
I watched a good game, go bad tonight. I had always thought and hoped that ICO was on to something. That people would rather play with others as opposed to the AI. I felt that Ironclad was breaking new ground by having an online feature, that wasn't subscription based. I mean it had super potential.
I think somewhere in the ranks of Ironclad someone really wants this to work. Not be a MMPOG type thing, but have a following, and possibly other games as well on ICO. I see a coffin, and a long line of black cars for ICO now though. You don't just have multiple crashes for no appearent reason on the biggest night of online gaming.
Last week I was excited to see 200+ people playing all at once. The games became fluid, you didn't have to wait for 10-15 minutes to find a game to play. It felt like we might actually be growing somewhat. My hopes have been dashed. It seems like for whatever reason ICO is being shunned.
There are multiple improvements that could be made to the functionality of ICO. Friends list, the ability to switch from entrench to vanilla games on the fly, host options, chat commands, but I hear some executive somewhere whining" There is no profit in this junk". Fan base is part of profitability, piss your fans off and they will find other things to occupy thier free time and money with.
It has all of these apart from the ability to switch from Ent to vanilla on the fly...
