Why does the game stutter when someone is lagging?

Why does one player's lag cause everyone to stutter? In most games if someone has a high ping, then that person simply has a longer delay between when a command is sent to when it actually occurs in the game. Usually when a player's ping becomes too high, and that players is in danger of dropping, the game pauses and waits for the player's ping to drop or for the other players to vote on a 'kick.' See warcraft 3, company of heroes, or just about any RTS.

Can someone explain how Demigod is different?

in most games, all players connect to the host and then if host lags everyone lags, but individual lags dont matter.but tehre is delay.

in demigod everyone connects to everyone, so it runs more smoothely, and there is no delay. but if one person lags, all lag

It would be nice if the host had an option to kick a lagging player, instead of having to wait for that 'ejection' screen to pop up. Most players leave before that point anyway.

the thing is... if every player ejects the lagging player, its all fine hes out and you keep playing.

A kick player option should be added.
