Windows 7

Hi guys,

I was wondering if news of a Windows 7 compatible version of WindowBlinds will be released anytime soon, because im dying to mod the nuts out of my new laptop but its running Windows 7, and when you install WindowBlinds 6.4 it refuses to run saying that it does not support  Windows 7!!

Regards,

J

I believe you will have to wait until Windows 7 comes out. I'm sure they are working on it.

Found a bit of info:

WindowBlinds 7 Betas could be out as early as spring apparently, so, um, now! lol I look forward to seeing the releases :)

Also ALM, the Beta version of Win7 is so unbelievably stable I would have thought they would begin writing a fresh peice of software straight away, and it looks like they have! :)

I agree with ALMonty, it's better for Stardock to not rush and then have to make changes later.  A fully compatible WindowBlinds will be released when appropriate, not to mention upgrades to all the programs that are part of ObjectDesktop Ultimate.  Oops, and some programs that are not part of ODU. :-"

First thing I tried when I installed the Win 7 beta was WindowBlinds (this was before 6.4, which checks for it).  Let's just say it wasn't pretty.  A Windows 7 version is in the works, and will be released as soon as possible.

Thanks.

I'm trying to remember when an update came out for WindowBlinds that was compatible with Vista. :S

Was it before or after Vista hit the open market?

Before like a few months atleast. It was a real touch and go deal to get WB and SKS working for Vista and XP too!
