I figure I would make a new post since for me this is a serious show stopper bug. The latest patch I installed v0.91.021 has now made the game unplayable. It will not run at all it crashes as soon as it starts. This is on Vista64 Ultimate.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and using Vista's compatibility mode and neither worked.
Well at least you can get it so start up, on my machine (with XP) it won't even start no matter how many times I klick on the run button.
I hope they will soon figure a way out to solve those problems.
LurkerLito, do you see the window at all before it crashes, or does it crash when it switches to the intro movie? If neither, exactly when is it crashing?
If it's crashing during the intro movie, make sure that you have the latest sound drivers as Bink can sometimes be picky about sound drivers. You could also try downloading the bink viewer from www.radgametools.com and installing it as sometimes other programs try to associate themselves with bink files, which causes crashes.

There are two things known to cause your bug.
1) If you have a Logitech web cam, check to see if there's an updated driver on the Logitech website as an older version of the driver interferes with the Bink dll
2) Google Desktop. I don't know if you need to un-install it or just turn it off
Other than that, make sure that your sound and video drivers are updated. Windows Update generally doesn't have the latest drivers, so you should always check the manufacturer's website
And if this all do not help, please post a dxdiag maybe we can see something there
Sorry I should have been more clear. It doesn't even start up. Vista64 just pops up a "Demigod Application has stopped working" dialog box. Nothing else happens. I am running the latest Nvidia Drivers (released yesterday).
