Stat exploit/bug/ way to get wins fast

Ok not sure if this is by design or what.   But here goes.

People judge your experience by games played and level of wins versus loses/versus drops.

SO I was thinking tonight about a map that is quick and easy, and fairly short. ( not going to post it yet)

Hosted it online and shifted the player to AI Easy.  Was able to cream the AI in under 10 minutes, repeat a few times and boosted my wins a few times.

Now the story goes I repeat over for an hour or two a few days, and I look like I am a veteran.  Is this desirable.   Does it mean anything.  If I was a stat monger then it would look like I played for a few months.....thoughts?

No it is NOT desirable - for you mostly... The reasons are:

1) The skilled players want other skilled players to make the games even. You would not be at that level, you have just rigged your stats

2) Once these players realise this, the word will get around that you suck and just comp stomp to boost your games and you won't get to play anymore. So then you are back to creating a new account and starting again.

You are much better off taking your licks and learning the game. All the good players have had to do it themselves. They didn't start out good. They learned the mechanics (read the forums for this) and played other skilled players to improve...

What vets look at to give them and idea of skill is total games played versus games won, So played # divided by won #. Loses aren't giving much attention.

And use you can use that method to boots your stats, but if you skill level doesn't live up to them it will only get you killed. For if their is a vet in game looks at your stats and determins you are a treat he will most likely be comming for you sonner rather then later in game. Witch could mean you end up lossing and not enjoy the game as mush if you would have been honest.

Like they say you reap the fruit that you seeded.

Stats dont mean anything exactly for that reason, wins/losses can be faked   and you can just quit games without surrendering

the only thing that should be looked at is total games played, wins and losses dont matter alot

i have over 225 games played, but only 70 wins and 30 losses

meaning that more then 125 games "125%" were never finished, due to crashes  desyncs , minidumps, quits.

the system is not trustworthy, only by looking at ones total amount of games played can you really rate someones skill

"ofocurse having 300 games played with 5 wins and 0 losses doesnt help you"

The fact is personaly i don't even look the stats when i know the player, i know how he plays and judge for myself his level of skills, if i don't know you i won't trust your game play, i'll check how you do in the game, you can have 300 games for 250 wins for what i care it won't change the fact that your gameplay will betray your skill level

stats are like having pleasure alone :) its fun but damn you look stupid if you can't play the real thing :P

Yep, you just need a buddy, and take turns.

Games played, wins, and losses are usually representative.....but I have had people with a lot of wins on my team before and discovered ther were very bad, and others who didn't have a very large record, who were really competent.  Ultimately you remember people by their name.  There is no point to wracking up fake wins, because after a couple games, the only thing people will know about you is you have a lot of wins, but still suck.

Lol , dont even need a buddy.

Just host a 1v1 with both you and the AI on the same team. OMG win.
