Entrenchment won't update

I've followed the instructions given and uninstalled Sins, and the beta of Entrenchment. Then tried re-installing Sins through impulse. However impulse then automatically re-installs Entrenchment version 0.92.005 and tells me I must uninstall that before I can get the newist version.

Every time I click on the uninstall function for Entrenchment, it removes both that and Sins! Every time I try to re-install I get the same result, the beta of Entrenchment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you uninstall, manually delete the original install folder (\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire), then install again. It should be fine after that. The older Entrenchment betas over-wrote Sins and it may not have gotten rid of all the files when you uninstall through Impulse, so it still thinks the beta is installed.

Thanks for the help Annatar11. Have tried that. Infact I had to. Kept getting an error message from impulse when trying to un-install Sins. Unfortunately it wasn't solving the problem.

However, based on your advice, I'm trying to instal Sins to a totaly new folder. Fingers crossed

Hrm, well I hope that works. :X

It hasn't. X(

When impulse finished downloading, it seemed to just stop the instalation process.

I tried deleting the temporary download folder for impulse next, but I STILL get the beta version installed!

Then tried uninstalling Entrenchment via the Add/Remove Programs, through Windows CP. I clicked on Entrenchment and nothing happened, so I'm assuming there's a registry issue as well?!?

Any ideas? Anyone? Please? :maybe:

I'd say toss an email to support@stardock.com, make sure you let them know you tried manually deleting everything and see what they say, I guess. Sorry, I'm out of ideas :(
