[Cheese] Regulus range

I have noticed recently that Regulus is the only demigod that can attack towers without being hit, not including skills here. It seems to give the light side a pretty big advantage in the early to mid game when most demigods cant crushed whenever they go near towers since Regulus can just go in and take them out leaving the dark side with no where to fall back to.

The simplest solution would be to decrease Reguluses aim to be the same as the towers or alternativlyey increase the torchbearers and/or QoT to be the same as Regulus's range...

Maybe his damage versus structures should be dropped a bit. ???

I think no demigod should be able to fight towers without taking damage.  I would like regulus to have same range as towers.

Hrm..  That would sort of break his character concept.  He's a ranged attacker.  Take away his range and he's a lot weaker.  What if he could only attack mobs and other DMs at long range.  Might not be feasible, but if it could be scripted to take away his ability to damage structures after a certain range...  What would break if he couldn't hurt structures with his normal attack?  Would he become unbalanced?

If you remove this then remains only Snipe... and is good only when the opponent is at 20% hp and running away... and, for example, TB never runs away because he can AoE freeze and nuke (except if he is low mana but that is easily solved with equip)

I dont think that Regulus is only good because he can hit towers without being hit, the increase in range is only minor from snipe but it pushes it over the edge, maybe make it so the first two ranks get you up to  the same range as towers and the third rank increases attack speed or weapon dmg?

Actually, all generals can purchase the archer units, which out range towers.

Also regukus needs skills to that, so he sacrifices a skill to do stuff like that. Also regulus can't do that much damage and standing their attacking a tower would be stupid, unless he was winning. Regulus is one of the weakest9health armor wise) demigod so needs a way to attack towers.

The general archer units do almost no damage in fact by the time you get the lvl 4 units you dont need them to take down towers.... As to the argument of he has the weakest armour and health of any demigod i just dont buy it armour and health ism largley determined by gear if you buy only +dmg gear on the basis you outrange towers and can outrun all demigods then its the way you play. If it is such an issue maybe Reguless needs his health buffed to the same lvl as everyone else

I think they should make it so towers shoot back regardless of who's attacking (save for special abilities).

His range vs towers isn't that big an issue early game, since items can give any demigod the range to do the same thing.

now, his range with his one attack versus demigods, hell; he snipes me from his healing stone, when im still at mine! Now that is cheese.

End of quote

Range isnt big enough for him to snipe you at your crystal while he is at his.

Well it happened. He started his string-pulling, then teleported back to base, and since we had minions at his base, I saw where he was. Well, I was at our crystal, and he finished his bow-shot, and it flew aaaaaall the way across the map. Glitch maybe?

I just noticed that i managed to post this topic twice when i edited the name from [cheese]  to [cheese/balance] any chance one of the forum moderators could merge them or delete the one with the least posts?

Okay, so I have confirmed it. I had a friend try it out, and it was true about Regulus large shot thingie. He begins to stretch back his bow, then he'll teleport away, and he'll be nice and safe back at base, then launch the thing half-way across the map, dealing full damage to you, and out of harms way. He did 800+ after teleporting back to his base.

I've seen a similar bug with the ?Warlords Wrath? wand. (300 damage, jumps to nearby enemies, drains demigod mana)

I start the cast, the enemy teleports away somewhere and the cast complets, and still hits.
