Do Patches Install Automatically?

I recently purchased Sid Meier's Pirates from here, and downloaded/installed it.  I was wondering if it came already patched with the 1.0.2.0 Patch available for download on the Pirates website, or if I have to patch it myself.  No Updates are available on Impulse, but my virsion number says 1.00.06, but under history it says 1.0.2.0, so I'm thinking I don't need to patch it, but I wanted to make sure.

You don't need to patch it, the version on Impulse is the latest one.

Impulse version numbers are not always the same as the actual app version number.  Something to keep in mind.

Ok, but it doesn't appear that the patch is working.  In the patch notes, it states that the Pirate ships have been re-named appropriate to the Historical Pirate ships(ie. Henry Morgan no longer on the Queen Annes Revenge) but in the game, Henry morgan IS on the Queen Annes Revenge.  How can I fix that?
