Please help me decide which Victory Conditions to enable

I'm starting a new game and I want to get some advice on which victory conditions should be enabled and disabled.

Just to give some backround, here are some settings I'll be using for my game:

no tech trading or tech brokering, tech speed on very slow, mega-events set to frequent, huge galaxy with max amount of races, occasional stars with frequent planets. I don't know if these settings will influence which victory conditions you suggest enabling and disabling, but I thought I'd list them just in case.

In my last game as The Terrain Alliance, I won a diplomatic victory which was too easy. I was also just a few turns from a technology victory, and I feel like this was too easy as well. In my upcoming game (I'll be playing as The Terrain Alliance again), I intend to make things more challenging; but that doesn't mean that I'm definately going to disable diplomatic victories or tech victories. I'm going to wait for some experience responses to this post before I make that call.

I think that I'm just going to enable every victory type except ascension; but I'd still like to get an experienced opinion.
