ObjectDock Niggles

Minor Annoyances with ObjectDock

Version: ObjectDock Plus 1.90 Build 535u

OS: XP SP3 32 Bit

Overall I'm pretty happy with ObjectDock, but, there's a few annoyances, other than the instability noted below, I can live with the "quirks" I hope this report will help to make it a better product overall.

Eventually ObjectDock will no longer start apps that are docked and has to be restarted. Once restarted configurable docklets (e.g. weather) no longer have any configuration data and have to be reconfigured (really annoying). I assume this is some kind of "panic" protection to stop a bad dock item from preventing ObjectDock from starting at all, but, it's probably not unreasonable to expect that one docklet/dock item cannot take out all the docks.

If I only have 1 window active, and it's maximised, when I minimize it, ObjectDock doesn't detect it and hidden docks don't reappear.

If I have a window maximised and I alt-tab into one of these http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/ windows (not maximised) it doesnt' detect it and hidden docks don't return.

System Tray items in a tab in a drawer don't seem to get their titles updated (I haven't tried in any other configuration), unless the actual System Tray tab is active when the the item updates.

There seems to be some issues with ObjectDock and WindowBlinds interations (these might be skin related).

Zoom Effect on docks zooms over window contents but under the border.

Start Menu docklets will work once or twice and then consistently fail.

There is a fix for the start menu problem I get that 2 when i use the built in feature. But there is a script that fixes that. It was posted somewere in the fourms. I use that and it works without any problems if you use this method. I can send that to you if you wish. All you need is to drag the file to the dock then place any icon you want  for it and your good to go. Also try using stardock without the custom skin and see if it does the same thing. If it does you may need to fix the registry. Easly done with ccleaner. Let me know how it goes.
