Anyone have any Improvement mods?

Greetings, all - You may think I'm a little slow here, but I've rummaged through the annals of mods on this site, picking up something attractive here or there, yet never finding the true object of my search: Improvement mods.

That is, a mod that would make the little farm, or factory icons (maybe even their tile pictures) look a little different... I've seen others with some interesting ones that've posted screenshots, but I'm lost as to where they got them. If anyone can direct me to one-such mod I'd be in their debt. Thanks!
