Hoshiko's

demolition bots take precedence?

So i fill my fleet with a sizeable group of Hoshiko's and they do a good job repairing things in the middle of battles to keep my fleet together a little longer. But then I research the demolition bots ability. Now, whenever a fight breaks out all I can see those droids doing is attacking the enemy fleet instead of repairing mine. normally i assume they would switch between their jobs during the demolition bot cooldown, but every single one of them i click on seems to be attacking rather than repairing, all the time. This results in some of my ships getting destroyed because they have nobody repairing them.

Does the demolition bot ability take precedence over the 'repair' part of their job? I guess i can just turn the ability off on a few of them, but i would rather they just split their time evenly if possible. Should i be doing something?

They must have changed the ability, good for them.  Used to be demo robots never got used :) Demo robots are awesome man.  If you worried about not gettign repaired enough, build more hoshikos.  Having 1 for every Kodiak in your fleet is recommended by me.

Well from a strategic stand point preventing the enemy form even shoting at you is rudducing the dps furtehr then simple repair could. But like you said you still wnat to repair. However having them use both abilaties is a bad idea. Normaly what i do and would recomend you do is have 10 hoshiko's set to repair and 20 set to demobots. Why mroe demobots then repair simple you need lest repair power if you arent reciving the damage in the first place. Each hoshiko can dissable and keep dissabled at least 2 ships and at most 3 ships. So 20 demobot hoshiko roughly means 35-55 enemy ships that will not be shooting back.

Not to mention that Demo Bots inflicts a 200% penalty to max speed and acceleration. It works really well on Heavy Cruisers so you can save your more vulnerable ships, like LRFs, Flaks, Light Frigs, and other support ships.

Does the Hoshikos repair stack?  Meaning, do if you had two Hoshikos repair the same target, would it double the repair rate.  Instead of a 20armor/s  would it go to 40/s ?

No, it did in one update but it was an error, they aren't suppose to stack but if you have a repair structure and hoshiko working on the same ship, the repair can go up to 60 per second.
