icons gone

not really gone but blank squares

Hello,

I have some problem with one of Object Desktop pieces of software. After installing the whole kadoodle of software and mycolors and a (few) themes (cosmos, dragon) i have no detail left in icons. they are almost all just plain squares. I can change themes, the icons stay white. (except the ones like newsbin etc.)

I can reset the icons by rightclick in the menu and select the correct icon. this goes for almost all icons, like office, internet explorer, media player, or adobe. here and there i see one icon that has some color. and some applications do have all the icons correct.

is there a simple solution to fix this?

technical details:
windows vista 64 bit | OD latest version | MyColors also latest version

Hmm. it seems to me that something has gone wrong with the installation. Iconpackager uses 200mb of mem. the startmenu does not respond anymore. I also guess that something else is not working properly on my pc. Installing Object Desktop wasn't the thing that started the problems. it just got visible after installation.

I need to investigate more. A test machine revealed no problems with object desktop.. (i used it for a long time without problems.)

Thanks.
Paul

I have the same problem under Vista 64. I used Icon packager and all the non Windows Icons went to gret default pages. Uninstalling won't get them back either.

Did not make a difference. Still no icons :annoyed:

Apologies to Original Poster. I shouldn't have jumped on your thread, but our problem, OS, etc are the same..

If it fixed your problem please post, and I'll make another seperate one for my problem.
