Program Launch Hangs

I had this problem in OD+, and now that I received the update for OD Free, I am having the same issue.

 

System Info.

Vista Ultimate (32)

3 G Ram pc6400

Intel 2.6G Processor

All Patches and fixes in place (Verified by Secuni and Impulse)

 

When I click a short cut in Object Dock, be it plus or Free. The program will attempt to start, and then hand. Taking up the processor around the 50% mark (Verified by Process Explorer).

I did not have this issue with Object Dock Free, so I dropped Object Dock +.

Received update today from Impulse, and now have the same launch hangs that I had with the + Version.

If I can not get this resolved I swear I am going to move to Circle Dock full time.

 

Any Suggestions here?

I would uninstall everyone that is ObjectDock.  It sounds like you have left over pieces of Object Doct (free) interferring with Plus.  After you uninstall run a clean up program like CCleaner and use a registry cleaner (included with CCleaner) then reboot.  Use Impulse to install the Plus version.  Hopefully this will correct the problem.  Post back and let us know.

Did this dance, With Revo uninstaller, and advanced system care for final clean up, and Spyboy S&D to clear Temp Files. completed re-install of pro and still had the same issue.

Also went through system to check for any extra folders and possible left behinds and found none.

I dumped the pro (Complete clean uninstall and registry clean)

re-installed the free. The free worked properly.

Through impulse, I Installed the OD Free update today, and after restart of system, the free now hangs like the Pro did.

Just completed uninstall and re-install of free and the issue continues.

 

I do not wish to sound short here, but I have also gone through the FAQ and the Help, so I am aware of typical fixes, and have tried many.

 

I have posted for the remedies that I am unaware of.

I have ObjectDock Plus except I'm on XP.

My question though is I don't find ObjectDock (free) on Impulse.  Not on the My Desktop tab or the Explore tab.  Where are you finding an update to the free version on Impulse?

When you reinstall the free version of ObjectDock where are you downloading  it from?

I didn't find the download from Impulse. i pulled the download straight from the Object dock site. Impulse picks up on the free addition automatically and ask if I want an update.
