Playing a fun little battle of the gods on immense on painful.  Everyone is squabbling and I am still colonizing planets.  Yor just captured a planet and I took it back.  Dreadlords pop up rignt in the path of my expansion.

The Blackwatch sir, we used the chinese on recaturing the Yor planet if you recall wave assualt tactics did not work so good.

Now I have seen the highest of 30pq for a dread lords planet to a low of 12.  42.  OMFG.  Now just have to beat the weather controler out of the Acreansand it will be mid forties.  Squee.

The Dread Lords aren't a threat when they show up in ongoing games unless you let them build up first.  If I recall correctly they start with a single attack ship in TA, so if you're playing TA that in itself might be a bug, but their class 42 planet is standard.

The Dread lords are only a problem if they show up too early for you to have enough tech to beat them, unfortunately for them the last game I played where they appeared their planet was right next to a huge fleet of mine that was attacking someone else.. dreadlords dead in one week.. 32pq under my control. booyah.
