Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error

Let me start by saying sorry if this has been covered before but I have tried to search, honest.

I had Objectdock Plus appication/program on a Dell XPS M1530 Laptop/notebook running Microsoft Ultimate!

I say had because I now keep getting the following error message shortly before Ultimate close the application/program;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error

Program: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Objectdock\Objectdock.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.

Please contact the applications support team for more information.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any help would be very useful :-)

Is this a constant error buddy? because that's happened to me a few times, but not enough to concern me, just curious if it's just an 'every now & then' thing? :)

Edit.. I just woke up buddy, I thought you said Object DesktopX| :blush:

/me is sorry:meow:

How did you install Object Dock on the machine?  Try downloading and installing through Impulse, as it wil get you the latest and greatest version.  Impulse can be downloaded here:

Direct from the this site?

Why do I have to download another bit of software (impulse_setup_full.exe) to solve this, please?

Impulse is our new download/install manager that replaces the old Stardock Central.  This is the best way (and in some cases the only way) to get the latest updates to your software.  Impulse also has better error checking and verification built in, so not only is it less likely that the app gets installed incorrectly, but you have the ability to fix broken apps by right clicking on their entry in Impulse and selecting "Verify application".  This will fix many problems that you might run into.  I highly recommend it.
