error to reinstall

Have been playing TA on both desktop and laptop. Uninstalled GalCivII from the laptop and then reinstalled. Now TA won't run and the error code says to reinstall from Stardock Central. Do I have to uninstall TA from laptop first then try to reinstall in order to get it to run?

Uninstall GC2, delete all file folders created by the game in "My Computer" foilder or just delete the files in it. Use a  registry cleaner if you have one. Then reinstall it and it should look for Impulse to download the game.
