Widget won't export

I created a widget/group using DesktopX, and I am having problems exporting it. I right click on the group and select 'Export'. Then I choose "Export as Windows Sidebar Gadget". After that I fill in the name, description, etc. until I choose the location that I want to export it to. When I click the 'Finish' button, it does nothing. I have tried exporting to multiple folders, but it does not help. Is there another way that I can export it? Is there something that I am forgetting to do/ doing wrong? Is there a bug in the version I downloaded (DekstopX 3.5 from CNET)?

I would really appreciate any help or suggestions. |-)

Is it the free version? I know you can only export as a DX package with that, other than that, I have no idea why you can't export.. sorry bud:'(

Yeah, it's the free version. Why does it let me go that far with exporting it to the sidebar, then? All of the other options that I can't choose come up with an error saying that they require Desktop Professional. It's odd that the others would stop me right at the begining, but this one doesn't. :\

Thanks for the help, though.
