I really love using ObjectDock, but I wish there was an option where I could move the icons around without being able to remove them from the dock, or at least prompting me whether I wanted to delete it.
Do you mean from the dock to the desktop and visa versa? Becouse you can drag items on the dock from one spot to another on the dock. If you can't, right click on the dock and make sure lock dragging is unchecked. However, you can't drag things from the dock back onto the desktop (at least not in the free version).
a drag but no delete or a deletion prompt would be nice... can't tell how many times I've dragged off too far and accidently let go
ODock will ask me if I want to close... should ask to verify deletion intent
I thought there was an option to confirm a delete...or am I thinking of RocketDock. If it's not on OD, it should be.
Yup, RocketDock does what I want to do in ObjectDock. One other option would be to hold down the control key to move the icons around inside of the dock without being able to delete them, by accidentally dragging it outside of the dock.
