Dreams are too dark.

I'm not sure when this started or why it's happening but when I try to apply a Dreamscene, the display is really dark. Wallpapers show normally. I've tried applying a new theme, changing my colors, rebooting, and trying a different Dream. Any help is appreciated. I honestly don't know what's gone wrong.

Your video color settings may be set wrong.

If you have a NVIDIA card, you can adjust it by right clicking on your desktop, open the NVIDIA control panel and change the settings under "Video & Television".

This would usually be a case of the colour controls for videos being set much darker.  For ATI you can control this via the Catalyst Control Centre app.  These settings are different from the general screen brightness / contrast settings.

There may also be settings for Direct3D apps.  In which case those may be being used instead.

I have an nVidia MCP67M. I'll try what CarGuy said. I'm hoping it works. I recently got a new monitor to display my laptop's desktop on and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Edit: One Dream does work. It's the sample Water Dream that comes with the Deskscapes installation.
