Impulse Achieving

I have been a member for a long time.  Paying each year but not updating my applications and kind of lost track when Impulse arrived.  These days I am completely mixed up.  I am using vista ulimate.  When I am in Impulse and select an icon and right click and select download and archive, it seems to work.  When I go to the folder D:\Program Files\Stardock\Impulse\backup, the folder is empty,.  I changed the path, the folder is always empty.  Can someone tell me what am I not seeing.

On my Windows XP system, the archive files go into the following folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Impulse\backup

Not sure what the equivalent path is for Vista, but this might give you a clue as to where to start looking.   HTH

Try looking in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Backup. That's where it puts mine.

My C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Backup folder is empty as well, and I'd like to know the same thing asked in the OP.

My question is, after having archived and backed up the .impulse files, how do you load them up again.

Ive recently had to reformat my HDD and dont want the download of 700+meg for sins and 250 for entrenchment when Ive already downloaded and archived them.

Am I better off simply rar'ing the sins directory in program files and then using that if I have to start from scratch again ?

Or am I simply missing the little "Restore" button somewhere in impulse ?

In Impluse, click on the orb in the upper left, then restore.
