Think Ill stick to Steam...

Hello all,

Signed up today to buy Sins Of A Solar Empire as it was suggested by a friend. I normally use Steam but currently doesn't have this game. In short this morning I tried to buy the game and the website just kept giving me errors so I decided to give up on it. Come back to my computer about 6 hours after I tried to buy the game I get three emails confirming my order of the game even thou I only got errors when I tried earlier and no confirmations.

Just wondering if I should be expecting to get c**k ups like this often or is this unusual?

its unusual, StarGate are good people. but like anyone(look at bloody microsoft FFS!) they experience technical problems! how every anoying this may be for you, it is also anoying for them aswell! no one wants to work on Xmas Eve rebuilding a server!(talking from experience as an IT Administrator)

hold tight, iv full faith in them sorting it ASAP!

A server died today thus resulting in downloading and purchasing issues.  Please e-mail sales@stardock.com with your order numbers and they will be able to sort any multiple charges that possibly were done.

Thank you.. Don't mean to sound overly negative but since I started using steam spent a few hundred ££ on there with no problems at all. First game I try to buy today ends up charging me three times.

Also now have another issues.. Trying to download it in the my games tab but getting the error.. "object reference not set to an instance of an object" Is this also an issue with the server problem?

Thanks

Yes, this is all server related.  It's rare for this to happen, but with all things technical it does.  We are currently working on a solution and hope to have things back to normal as soon as possible.

As I said, just e-mail sales and they will take care of the mistaken charges.  Sorry for the inconveneince.
