Entrenchment price

Euro or dollar?

Ok so today i looked around in impuls and saw entrenchment for sale at $9.95 US dollars.

I was like, ok that was the price they announced. However when i wanted to buy the game, during checkout it suddenly says €9.95 euro, i was hey!!!!, thats nearly 13 dollars, why do i have to pay more? So wich is it now, 10 dollars or 10 euro's?

Plz dont tell me stardock is gonna pull the exact same crap as steam, that would be very low.Stardock is, atm, the only company i actually have faith in. I've bought sins ofcourse, but also galciv II + both expansions.

mystic.

I bought 2 keys via paypal 4 days ago and paid only 14,79 € for both.

it doesn't seem right that they changed this so quick without any warning or announcment.

sounds like a bug to me.

what did you use as payment method?

Its not a bug. I had confirmation from stardock/sales that it is priced differently per region, kinda sucks.

My understanding is that since kalypso will be distributing it in Europe over Impulse, Stardock has to swallow their price per publishing contract. This was a while ago, though, and Kalypso was also supposed to distribute 1.1 on Impulse but that fell through, so who knows..

we need to start contacting our hacker buds to do something about kalypso

So it's 14 dollars for people buying in the Euro zone. A bit naughty to make ours 40% more expensive. Why should we have to pay extra?

If it was a strong dollar we'd always get the conversion rates. now that it's a weak dollar they just change the currency indicator it seems. Unfair!!

End of Oezem's quote

You could also look at it from the perspective that it's *gasp* four dollars more expensive (or wait, wasn't it three?)  It's not like Entrenchment is costly to begin with.

I'm beginning to agree that someone somewhere needs to do something about Kalypso, though.

Says $9.95 for me.

Four according to the Reuters currency converter but it's not the money. I can spend the extra dollars if I wish to.

If they market it for 10 dollars to make the point they are making I should get the same deal, regardless of where I live. I have a Paypal account and a CC and pay plenty of stuff in dollars against the current exchange rates. I don't see why this has to be any different.

I agree Oezem.
