Can you actually play the Express version online?

I recently purchased TPM08 and liked it, so I figured that I would tell my friend about the free express version. 

After we both downloaded it, we went into the game lobby to try to start a multiplayer game.  No matter what we do (different settings, password/no password, etc) we cannot seem to join each others game.  Every time, one of us his "Join Game" and nothing happens. 

Is there something that we are missing here?

Make sure you are both updated to the latest versions.  That is the most likely cause.

Nope, both of us have 1.50.010.  I have the normal version of the game installed, would that be the possible culprit?  I assumed that since they were installed to different directories, that it wouldnt matter.

when you say "start a multiplayer game" im guessing that you are trying to play with a freind on a "Diffrent Network" in that case it seems like you will need to forward some ports
