Errors when starting Entrenchment

I recently installed Entrenchment and have recieved an error stating that the file d3dx9_36.dll is missing.  I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling and no success.  Before I start hunting for the files on the internet I thought I would stop here and see if this is a common error.  Help please?

This is not a error we are aware of at this time. A missing .dll would indicate a corrupted download so my suggestion would have been to do as you have already done with the reinstall.

Please try uninstalling, delete the install directory, restart the machine, reinstall through Impulse, restart again to clear the cache and see if that does it for you. If not check to see if you have any security software running that could interfere with the download/install. This is a remote possibility but one to check on anyway.

Are you referring to c:/program files/stardock games/sins as the install directory?  XP user

I can't run entrnechment. I get this error. fmod.dll can't be found. I uninstalled  / reinstalled and same effect.

The first error looks like a DX error.

Update your video drivers.

I am so lost on what to do....

Try updating your directx version to the most current one.  Have you tried looking in your system32 folder to see if the missing .dll is present there?  If not, try and copy the ones you need in system32.

I installed Entrenchment and now it doesn't start at all.  All I get is a blank window

Check out the debug log and post the end of it here.

Make sure that when you post the debug log that you are getting the debug.err file from the game directory right after that error you get. That way we can be certain it is the up to date information on the problem. Also if you have the expansions installed the debug you need is in the expansion folder you are currently updated/installed to.

End of thanosaoa's quote

Make sure that Impulse is installing Entrenchment to the same file location as Sins is installed to. If it isn't several files would be missing like the .dll you are getting the error message about.

To change the path where Impulse installs software:

-Click on the Stardock Orb in the upper left corner of Impulse, choose 'Preferences'
-Click on the 'Folders' section on the left
