ObjectDock Processing - In the CPU or GPU?

 

Where does the processing for the ObjectDock animation take place?  When I use certain effects, i.e. swing effect, I can run my cursor across the bottom, get a few icons swinging and I peg one processor at ~100%, the other between 20 and 50%.  Does ObjectDock do all of it's processing in the CPUs?

 

I'm running:

  • Dell XPS, XP SP3
  • Dual Pentium D 3.2 GHz CPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB video card
  • ObjectDock v1.9 build 536
  • 26 icons in the dock

As far as I can tell any effects within the dock or by the dock (hiding or unhiding) hit the cpu.  More dramatic effects and/or more icons moving at the same time = more cpu.
